Computer Science was our new area introduced in September 2014 and what a fantastic new addition it has been to our TICE Creative Areas. Two schools, Seaton Burn College and Whitley Bay High School were our first cohort mentored by Shaun Allan. Their challenge for the Gold Stage project was come up with a Kickstarter pitch. If you do’t know much about Kickstarter it’s a new way to fund creative projects. It is a home for everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of projects, big and small, that are brought to life through the direct support of the public. Since the launch in 2009, 8.4 million people have pledged more than $1.7 billion, funding 83,000 creative projects. Thousands of creative projects are raising funds on Kickstarter right now, can you come up with a Kickstarter project?
